There is a bewildering array of herbal remedies on the shelves, and they are pretty expensive.
Can you please tell me which ones you have tried?
Which ones have relieved which symptoms?
(I suffer from mood swings, depression, breast tenderness, and overheating.)
Did you experience ill-effects from any of them?

My clients talk about all types of natural remedies. Hands down the following are recommended by many: increase soy, add more omega 3 fish oils to your diet, black cohash and wicking pajamas for night sweats .
Dr. John Lee is an advocate of NATURAL progesterone to treat both peri-menopause and menopause. Go to the health food store and get Life Flo Progesta Care. Here are some other brands that have the amount of progesterone recommended by Dr. Lee: http://www.johnleemd.com/store/resource_…
Hope this brings some relief to you. All the best
Ask your doctor about the drug TAMOXIFEN. I found it worked extremely well in preventing hot-flashes and other symptoms of menopause, and I had no side effects. It also has the benefit of keeping bones strong and cholesterol down.

Unfortunately, I don’t know anyone who has had luck with the herbal “remedies”. I have heard of low-dose antidepressants which have helped in some cases. Please ask your doc about this.
I have found regular exercise to be a great help; I feel so much better physically and mentally than I do when my exercise routine gets disrupted.
My symptoms were and are much milder than what you’re describing – guess I’m just lucky. I do find, however, that I absolutely can’t wear anything close around my neck unless the weather is VERY cold. Even a sheet pulled close to my neck when I’m sleeping triggers “overheating”.
I’m a big fan of Mayo Clinic’s web page. There’s some menopause info that may be of some help at this link: http://mayoclinic.com/health/menopause/D…
Good luck in your search!
time ,space, and peace and quiet are the best remedies for this as well as realizing that you need to grow old gracefully. this will make you happier in the end…its best not to dwell on the inevitable…
