I understand that it’s different for different people, but approximately? What is the age range?

I’m 42 and I started at 38 which is “unusual but not abnormal” from what my gyno said. I have had two periods in the past two years and they say two years of no periods your in menopause. Night sweats and hot flashes were common for me about two years ago, but I don’t miss my period!

Average is 50, some go early, like in their early 40′s (me) some go until 60. The best way to determine yours is to ask the women in your family..your mother. aunts, grandmother. As this is generally a maternal thing, your fathers family might figure into it, but for sure your mothers people.

I’m assuming between like 40 and 60. But I guess it depends if you’re counting actual menopause or just like perimenopause. Cause symptoms like hot flashes can start in the late 30s.
Just FYI, my grandmother was very young (15) when my mom was born. At one point they were both in the same parts of perimenopause.

I believe the widely accepted age is 50 years old.
