What Is The Menopause And What Does It Do To You?

I’m only 14 so do not have the foggiest, but then I’m only 14 so do not really need to know the foggiest but I’m curious.
Is that when your periods stop? Is it true you don’t have to shave your legs anymore because the hair will stop growing? I heard a female commedian say something a bit gross about how her vagina went all weird cos she was old. Is that true? What else happens?

I went through the menopause in 6 weeks during chemotherapy and it was bloomin’ awful. Hot flushes felt as if I was literally boiling from te inside and sweat used to drip of my ears it was so bad. You stop ovulating in the menopause which is why your periods stop. still have to shave my legs and under my arms, and as for what the female comedienne said well, mine is just the same as it always was! A lot of women need hormone replacement therapy after the menopause as it can affect your bones, and you are more vulnerable to osteoporosis where the bones go thin and are more liable to break. I’ve put you the best sits I could find for further reference. At your age you ought to forget about it and enjoy yourself…aah to be 14 again!

ok! it’s when the period cycles stop, it happens about the age 47-51. it’s b/c of some hormonal changes in the women, that causes them some changes in their life. maybe the change in their vagina like u said, but not like as much as u said, it’s just some little changes and sometimes not even noticable. many women get hot flashes in that time, and they usually become moody. about the hair u asked, it’s b/c the thickness of the hair is caused by the hormones, and when those hormon levels r not high enough any more, then it wont grow as thick or as many hairs as before, but it still grows!
well for sure, there are many changes in a woman at that time, but i tried to answer ur specific questions and keep it as easy as i can.
    good luck

You got a long way to think about menopause, but it is a time when periods do stop completely and you will hot flashes at night. Not sure about the shaving legs part though.

When the periods stop is menopause. If you don’t have a period for a year, you’re considered to have had menopause.
Yes, it’s true you won’t have to shave your legs after menopause, but not until ten years later (based on my mom’s experience). ALL your excess body hair falls off. My mom who is 82 doesn’t have to shave anything anymore. She hit menopause at 55 and hasn’t had to shave since 65.
Not true about the vagina unless a woman lets it get that way. There are ways to prevent it.

it’s not all bad, haven’t notice a lot of difference and its a joy to not have periods anymore.
But, oh those hot flushes – never known anything quite so bad – you can feel your make up sliding down towards your knee’s – which incidentally still need shaving in the early days
The hot flushes are like millions of red hots pin pricks, very uncomfortable and spring up from nowhere (and then just go again)

  7. menopause is when a woman no longer has her period

  8. Sofie says:

It is when you stop ovulating and thus having periods yes. But you would still have to shave your legs i assume. It’s the changing of hormones and you get more testosterone in you hence why older women often get beards and so on…
