Has anyone undergone fake menopause treatment for endometriosis or something similar?

Has anyone undergone fake menopause treatment for endometriosis or something similar? — I was just diagonosed with endometriosis after having surgery. My options now are probably going to include going through a fake menopause-type treatment to get rid of the hormones in my body. I would like to know if anyone else has had experience with this or what their opinion is on the matter? I could also get on birth control but I am afraid this will maybe not be enough to save my ovaries from ever being able to have kids. I’m 27 and have not had children yet. Any opinions appreciated! Thanks!

My mom is 48 and going through menopause. She gets these horrible hot flashes and I would like to know of something she can take “AT HOME” that could possibly help. I’m sure she could get prescribed something and all, but her appointment for the doctor isn’t for another 2 months, so just wondering if anyone knew of something she could take or use?
