Is It Possible To Have Hydrosalpinx After Menopause?

I had a transvaginal ultrasound done almost six weeks ago which showed a liquid filled tubular growth. I am having it rechecked the end of next week. In the meantime, I have had constant diahhrea and the pain by my right ovary is getting bad enough that I have to take Ibupriprien. Thank you for your help.

Yes, the fallopian tube can be enlarged and filled with fluid after menopause. It usually does not cause diarrhea.
It can however cause pain.
Diarrhea can result in dehydration and more severe problems. So if it persists, I would call your doctor or seek medical help now.
Good luck.
Hydrosalpinx means accummulation of fluid in the uterine tube. It can be related to salpingitis (inflammation of the tube). As this is an irrigation, your gut moves at wanting to get rid of the irritation, thus you have diarrhea. The fluid may drip onto the ovary causing the pain. Go see a Gynecologist please!!
