This is not normal and you need to see your Dr “just in case”. Could be a hormone imbalance which is easily treated.

39 is a little early for menopause, I would go see a doctor
Dear Larson4b,
I am not an expert on this subject, but I really hope the below link can help you with some answers.

All the best,

It may be early for menopause, but if you look at webmd or other such, u find it could be perimenopause, and I am sure your Dr can give you the best answer. Myself, I am home re-cooping from a hysterectomy on the 8th of Nov. Was because of endodemetriosis. It has been hard to get it done cuz I am 40. Insurance is hard to convince for my age. But last year my flow was bad enough to need a transfusion..So guys…You REALLY don’t understand. It took almost half my blood to be gone to convince the Dr’s & insurance to accept the fact I needed it. I had 3 whole blood units put back in me! That scared me! DR told me I couldv’e had a stroke or heart attack if it had gone much lower! I never thought my period could kill me! Good luck with you and your problem! AND…If you DON”T feel you are being helped by your doctor, find another. I had to.
u have a long way to go
I think it is. Because my mom went threw menopause and she was having her periods every two weeks also. So you probably need to go to the doctor and get some medication
