How Young Do You Have To Be Before You Start Expieriencing Menopause?

The average age for menopause in the U.S. as defined by three consecutive months of no menstruation is age 49.
Menopause is not something visited upon you one night by the menopause fairy, rather it is a process that probably starts for most women in their early thirties. There is a typical shortening of menstral cycle and then a lengthening of menstral cycle before it ceases entirely. Some women do go through menopause earlier than others and this often correlates to girls who started puberty earlier.
Many of the symptoms associated with menopause can be improved with low doses of oral estrogen (HRT). There is some information that HRT increases the risk of breast and ovarian cancer. I believe there are other studies that conflict with that conclusion, however.

This is an individual thing and a genetic thing. Most people start menopause in their 50′s. However, my grandmother, my mom, and my aunt all started in their 40′s. So, I am looking at probably starting early, too.
I don’t know, but it is so scary that you asked that, because I was really hot today (but it has been off and on for a while, like feeling feverish), and someone joked that I was having hot flashes! I am only 27!!!!
im currently in menapause im 25 years old. I had to have a hystrectomy due to severe endometeriosis. So their definatley not a certain age for menapause. Normal, menapause usually occur around 50 or so.. But in my case it occur a lot sooner.. Once a women ovaries are remove because they provide “Estrogen” their body goes through menapause. That is why when women get older the estrogen level decreases and menapause occur. Hope this helps..
