I’ve heard that oral hormones during menopause makes it harder to loose weight. Is that true?

Boy, wish I could blame that on my weight gain

  2. I believe the opposite is true. Estrogen, specifically estradiol, is responsible for helping keep women from gaining abdominal weight. This article http://www.project-aware.org/Resource/ar… may help.
Perimenopause and menopause are often accompanied by the dreaded “menopot” that can make you look slightly pregnant.
HRT (hormone replacement therapy) for menopausal women has been the subject of some disagreement lately, as it’s been linked to cancer and heart disease. These articles http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story… may be helpful.
I have chosen not to take HRT during my perimenopause. I’m watching all the studies and articles closely, though, as I’m a little tired of having a fat tummy.
