Does A Girl Have A Period Every Month Of Her Life Until Menopause?

I studied the menstrual cycle at school already… but I failed to understand some key concepts..
Does a woman have a period every month of her life until menopause? If she does, how come I’ve never seen my mom’s bed sheets with blood?
Now this other question is a serious question… when in porn movies, they sometimes don’t use protective gear like condoms. Doesn’t the female get pregnant when sperm is injected into her vagina?
What’s a tampon and how is it used?

    1) a women has a period for 5 – 7 days every month from puberty until the menopause and then it stops, a women can go through the menopause (also known as the change) at any age but usually late forties early fifties.
    2) You probably haven’t seen blood on your mums sheets as us women are very good at hiding these things, as we like to keep it private. Also she will use things like sanitary towels (pads of material worn in her underwear to absorb the blood, these are thrown away and changed every few hours) and also tampons which i will explain in a minute.
3)The women in porn movies will usually be using another method of contraception for example the contraceptive pill (a tablet taken every day to prevent an egg being released and there fore preventing pregnancy) or an injection (which works in the same way, the injection is given every few weeks/months) or an implant under the skin of her arm which also stops an egg from being released.
These do not protect from STI’s though. These are infections passed through sexual intercourse or sexual contact and can be very unpleasant and dangerous. Usually both the man and the woman will be tested so that they are certain neither have any of these infections.
    4) a tampon is a small tube of absorbent material that is inserted into the vagina during menstruation to absorb the blood flow, they come in few different sizes to suit the woman’s flow (ill post some links)
Please don’t be embarrassed to ask your teacher any of these questions, this is what they are there for :)

Yes, women have it every month at the same time for about a week.
Women use tampons or pads for the entire week to absorb the bleeding. Tampons are tightly wound cotton ‘tubes’ you insert and there is a string on the end to pull it out.
Women can only get pregnant during a few days of her ‘cycle’ each month, but if having unprotected sex, they’ll usually take a birth control pill every day that prevents pregnancy. The pill if taken correctly will keep you from getting pregnant, but unlike condoms, they don’t prevent sexually transmitted diseases.

No, you don’t have a period every month of your life until menopause. Once it kicks in a lot of girls don’t have their period every month. Also during pregnancy there’s no period. Shortly before actual menopause when may begin to skip months and not get their period. Also women may use forms of birth control that stop them from menstruating.
Your mother uses pads and tampons and this prevents it from getting on her sheets.
Women are usually on birth control to prevent pregnancy.

Yes, we have a monthly period. During menopause, our periods usually get lighter and shorter until menopause is complete. You probably didn’t see your moms bed sheets covered in blood because she wore a sanitary napkin or a tampon. A tampon or “stick’em up” as I call them is a piece of cotton inserted into a plastic tube. The tube is inserted into the vagina therefore absorbing the blood. The piece of cotton has a little string at the end which helps to pull the tampon out when it is full. As for the porn, she probably uses some type of birth control like a spermicide which is injected into the vagina therefore killing the sperm. Menopause starts at about 33 yrs old and lasts to about early or middle 50′s.

Yes she does, unless shes pregnant and then they tend to stop.
Your mom will use pads, which go in your underwear to soak up the blood.
I’m guessing that most porn stars will be on another form of contraceptive such as the contraceptive pill, coil or injection.
A tampon is basically like a large cotton stick that is placed inside the vagina and soaks up the blood, much like a pad but they stay outside of the body stuck with tape the the underwear.

Yes a woman has a period every month until menopause, except when she is pregnant. You have never noticed blood on your mom’s bed because she probably cleaned it up immediately…I do.
In porn, when they do not use condoms the women do not always get pregnant because they are more than likely on some form of birth control. Like the pill or the depo shot.
A tampon is a cotton tube that is inserted into the vagina of a woman on her period. It is used to absorb the blood so it doesn’t get all over her clothes.
    I hope this was helpful.

alright a woman will have a period every month or so when she hits puberty.
You probley never seen your moms bed sheets filled with blood because ladys wear tampons and pads.
Condoms is one ‘protective gear’ they use in porn movies, others can be the pill, a needle, womans tubes are tied, and the female condom. They’re are lots of ways to have proctection other than a condom.
A tampon is inserted into a womans vagina when she is on her period.
I think that is the best way to clarify everything you asked.

  8. deSade says:

A woman will get her period every single month until menopause except in the case of pregnancy and about 100 different things that affect menstruation (ranging from stress to the morning after pill).
The women and men in porn are generally taking some form or have some form of birth control (ie birth control pills, vasectomy and so on and so forth).
A tampon..well, “a tampon is a mass of cotton or rayon; or a mixture of the two inserted into a body cavity or wound to absorb bodily fluid” – Wikipedia

  9. teecee says:

Yes a woman has a period every month of her life until and sometimes during menopause. As far as your moms bed sheets she probably changes them or maybe does not get her period. Do you look at her sheets everyday?
As far as porn movies it sounds like you are to young to even know about those dirty pigs, so who cares what those diseased whores are doing.
A tampon is one of the worst things you can use for your menstrual cycle which is inserted in the vagina at cycle. It can be uncomfortable and irritate you. Not to mention it can cause toxic shock syndrome.
Next time you’re in class if you don’t understand something….ASK

not every woman has a period every month of her life till shes menopausal. i went without my period for 7 months (because of stress and trauma) and got pregnant in the 7th month and so no period now for 9 more months. your moms bed sheets aren’t covered in blood because of either tampons or pads. both were made so that when you are bleeding the blood gets on the pad/tampon and not anything else. and for the porn girl to get pregnant she has to be ovulating and not on birth control. ask your mom what exactly a tampon is

  11. purplesm says:

Most women will have a period every month up until menopause (menopause can come early also and would stop a younger woman from having a period)…There are some exceptions though…some overweight women will stop having periods due to their weight affecting their reproductive cycle…also most women don’t have periods while pregnant although some do experience period like bleeding throughout pregnancy…also, if taking a birth control pill, some women will not have a period if they continue to take ‘active’ pills throughout the month, active pills are the ones with actual hormones in them, the unactive pills are just sugar pills. Also, stress can cause some women to miss a period or a period can be missed randomly if things change in a woman’s life
You don’t see blood on your mom’s sheets because women wear either tampons or pads to absorb the bleeding. Sometimes the tampons or pads will become too saturated during the night though and some blood may leak out, however, your mom would wash the sheets before the blood sets in.
Condoms are not the only source for birth control, there are many kinds. These include the pill (a pill taken daily to keep a woman from ovulating), a shot (given once a month or so to keep a woman from ovulating), a patch (also keeps a woman from ovulating), a diaphragm (goes inside the woman’s vagina to keep sperm from reaching the egg), among others…When a man doesn’t wear a condom in a porn movie, most likely the woman is using a different form of birth control.
A tampon is a bunch of cotton tightly packed in a tube shape. It is inserted into the vagina to absorb blood and is pulled out by a string when it needs to be changed.
