Could I Be Pregnant Or Going Through Menopause?

I am 27 years old, back in 2004 I had my tubes tied. I am a week late on my period. Is there a possible chance I could be pregnant or could I be going through menopause at this early of an age?

Okay — first of all, premature menopause (also known as premature ovarian failure) affects 1-4% of all women and usually begins around age 27. So its not entirely impossible for a woman your age to be experiencing menopause. But its not likely.
There are plenty of things that can cause your period to be late. If you don’t get it within the next 2 weeks, take a pregnancy test, and go to the doctor!
There is no way you could be going through menopause this early. When you are a week late it doesn’t have to mean that you are pregnant. You should go see your doctor though, just incase because when you have your tubes tied there is a slim chance that you are pregnant. Good Luck!

Whoa, back up and chill out! Missed periods happen, sometimes just due to stress (including illness), low fat stores, or even being around another group of women or a women with different cycles then your own. Its highly unlikely you’re going through menopause unless you are doing chemo right now and are going into a chemically induced menopause. You’re probably just a little late.
And you could (this is a remote possibility) be pregnant, so take a test. It’s not unheard off, but very unlikely. Most likely you’re just late.
